username : bestmiki password : 55deal they usually want you to e-mail them for a different password and username for each person but you can use the username and pw that they gave me to save you a few days in waiting for them to respond.

Since HondaImports slept at the wheel...
www.unstable-hybrids.com www.sr20swap.com www.heavythrottle.com Some sites to begin at and if you have any further questions...here or www.freshalloy.com But personally I'd go w/a S13 SR b/c it's cheaper, more available, more aftermarket parts, more tried and true, and the S13 tranny is stronger than the S15 tranny. But it's your headache... |

Wait I confused
Are you looking to buy an S15 Silvia or are you looking for parts to convert a 240 or something to a silvia? I'm just asking this now because I saw the sites that NISSANSPDR posted and I don't think they sell the whole car. Do they?

Well he said both but I responded to the one I knew...I am pretty sure you cannot have a S15 over here...it would be difficult since I have heard of ppl trying to get them over but they get stuck in customs or end up like that yellow R34...crushed due to being in the country illegally.
The companies I listed could either get you a S15 engine if you so desired or can help you get in contact w/someone who can. But like I said...get S13 SR. You can make it better than the S15...the 6spd is overrated and weak... |

where have you heard that the 6spd is weak and over rated nissanspdr? also, i would go with the s14, it bolts into the 240sx ALOT easier, and it has variable valve timing. more HP too. and its alot easier to get the s14 with lower miles, the s13's usually have higher miles.

Where have I heard...how about the best 240SX/Silvia forum called Freshalloy...and also from people who have had S15 tranny's break on them and they just start using the S14 tranny instead of wasting their time and money on the S15 tranny. It's cool to have 6 gears but not cool to have it be so weak. Hence the overrated remark I made.
S14 SR vs. S13 SR...well the both are going to have low miles...I have never seen a S13 SR w/more than 50k miles...S13 SR's are cheaper and have been around longer and seem to have more literature and step by step processes out there on the net. Not only that but since it has been around the longest...it has the most aftermarke support which would also kill the notion of the extra 20 hp the S14 SR has b/c you could make that up just by turning up the boost. True the S14 SR has the variable valve timing...but it's that great of a difference. I've seen plenty fast S13 SR's that run 12's...fewer are the S14 SR's that run 12's... As for easier to bolt in...the S13 SR bolts in easiest into S13's from 91-94 while the S14 SR bolts easiest in 95-98...so they both have their place but trying to bolt in S13 SR's into S14 cars is an extra pain but doable...while S14 SR's into S13's...hmm...I have no clue on that one...you got me! Hehehe. |
