I guess 4WD is different than 2WD because I've changed mine a couple of times and have never had to do anything like removing wheels or steering shafts.

I have done mine twice it is 4wd, haveing the proper socket makes it take twice as much time as changing one of the other plugs. Second time around goes much faster (as long as one can remember back 4-5 yrs.) Once I did the second time I "remembered" how I did it the first time. my duh.
