Is The Excel Sprint 2 Cars In 1 ?

I know little about cars but i'm looking to buy a Hyundai Excel Sprint 1.5 1999 model.

The problem is....I live in Thailand and there arent many of these cars around here. I have been told by a friend that alot of cars are based on other cars and use their parts to build the car and put on a new shell.

My question is....if I have mechanical problems or a bang in this car, can I buy parts from any other cars.
