Renault immobiliser

I have a 1994 Renault Safrane with around 100,000 kms on the clock.
The problem is when I start the car it runs fine but comes up with an audiable message saying "electronic ignition lock not operating, repair as soon as possible" and the engine check light flashes on deceleration.
The only fault code that comes up is an immobiliser fault.
The battery in the remote plip is not flat because it still works the cenral locking.
Please help!!

The only conseil I could gave you is to go to a Renault dealer to see what is the problem. On this kind of problems (electronics), it's better not to cope with too much personnaly.
