1999 Beetle tem display doesn't work.
After I had my battery jumped the other day, my clock came on, but the outside temp display isn't working. At first there were lines, but then it went blank. What to do???
Thanks, Linda |

Re: 1999 Beetle tem display doesn't work.
Jump starts are always dangerous in modern cars with voltage susceptible components - you can easily cause a voltage spike when removing the donor battery cable which can easily bugger up components. Unless you want to spend money, I would be tempted to live with it. If you take it to a service department you will be at their mercy. If the rest of the car is OK then just forget it. Might also be an idea to put a new battery in (cheap insurance for next time).
