Archery-No Shaft!

To aim properly, you'r sposto look down the shaft and aim twords the target. But whenever I would do that it would just be way too off. I could aim using my arm, where I pointed my arm, raising for distance I could get very accurate hits very regulary...I got very good, but it got old going by myself.

That and my bow I got when I was like, 13. And a 25lb drawback is nothing to me.

I want a long bow!

Re: No Shaft!

bows are hard i don't like how it hits you in the arm when you release it. maybe it's cuz i just suck at archery. one time i accidentally shot my arrow in the forest and my mom made me go find it. took me 30 minutes but i got it. the end.

Re: No Shaft!

my friend was showing us his new archery gear a while back, we all stood in the garden watching an humoring him by going "ooooh" a lot. then he showed us "how it's done" which resulted in driving his next-door neighbor to hospital.

Re: No Shaft!

wow.....

yeah, you need to cock your arm a lil when holdin the bow so it wont catch your arm. They have somethin for your arm for when you start out so it wont hit your arm. Bow I want would actually rip your skin off if you did it wrong *not like, skin your whole arm but you know...take a chunk off*.

Can't say I havent done anything dumb...I took a broken arrow, one that had only the back half and notched it onto the bow. It went out my window into my neighbors apartment. I didnt hear anything, and noone was home so I was all "SHIT!" and closed the window really fast and hid the bow. I was like...14 lol.

Aim along the shaft, pointing the nib to the bullseye. Too high, move your fingers down on the string. Too low, move them up. When you hit the nock of the arrow, start using the ´shelf´beneath the shaft-shelf to aim, instead of using the nib.

Long bows are cool, though not much competition except old guys.
