Coolant type in the 2002 Taurus

Is this car supposed to have the "Dexcool" stuff? or just regular coolant?

to my knowledge Dexcool is GM, Ford only runs the regular green stuff and the gold stuff

My '02 SES/Vulcan game with green. Dexcool is GM, doesn't mix with Ford. I've been advised to stay away from Dexcool.
