intermittment wipers on 2002 windstar only partially works. Replace the switch on turn signal handle? or is there a module that needs to be replaced and where is it?

My experience is with a '96, but I doubt it has changed much: the whole switch/arm is a unit attached to the steering column. I believe ford calls it the multi-function switch, or if you looked for the part online (rockauto, fordpartsonline) they will likely call it the wiper switch. I have had mine apart a time or two as the small wires for the washer function had fatigued and broken due to the motion of the "highbeam flash" function. Recently my interval wipers were working, but cycling at odd intervals. I pulled the unit out and tightened up the whole assembly (loosened due to previously being pulled apart I guess) and that solved my problem for now.

Assuming (dangerous) that the switch has not evolved all that much, you will need to remove the steering column trim, and then the switch is held in by two screws - Torx bits on my van, and has two electrical connectors.

I took a look at fordpartsonline.com. Under electrical/chassis electrical/switches/wiper switch. Part lists for about $100. They had it for $75.
