82 K5 Emissions

Hello, I'm looking at buying an 82 K5 and I'm going to need it to pass emissions but I don't think it has any of the equipment on it b/c it was converted from a diesel to gas. Does anyone know what emissions equipment came on the 82 K5s?

Re: 82 K5 Emissions

Being that it was a diesel first, the vin # should tell the DMV that it doesn't need emmitions testing. GM paid an excess tax becuase it has higher emmitions than allowed. So you should be ok to licences it as long as you don't tell the it is a gas convertion. Good luck

Re: 82 K5 Emissions

I live in Denver and looked into the emissions testing for diesels here and apparently here we still have to have diesels tested. So, I think I would probably have to put the gas emissions crap on in order for it to pass.
