Welcome back to AF, Michaël.
Does Peugeot have plans on producing a new version of the 607, perhaps a 608, any time soon?

Re: Peugeot in US?

Thank you

I hope so, but a priori, they will do the 608. For a new version of the 607, I don't think so as the car has just been face lifted 1 year ago with the new interior and the new V6 Hdi biturbo.
For the 608, it wouldn't be before 2009.

Good to know, thanks.
It's a car that isn't very popular in the news, or maybe it's just my tiny lack of interest in the news.

Re: Peugeot in US?

The 607 ? I don't know, maybe in the United Kingdom
More seriously, in this category, you have the 3 big Germans who sell well (5 Séries, E Class and A6)... and the others (Peugeot, Lancia, Volvo, Jaguar, etc. etc.). And they make relative good figures in general in their own country. So the media talk about there cars more in their own country... I'm clear ? ..
That' smaybe why you read more articles on the 307 or the Golf, than on the 607 or the Phaeton, even if they are good cars too.

Re: Peugeot in US?

Yes, you are clearer than a window and I agree with you hehehe.
It's time for me to learn to speak French and read French Automobile news.

Re: Peugeot in US?

I'm pretty sure you do... But you'll have to prove it.

I know a bit French though, tell me what you think about this:
Le gâteau d'ail est tastey! (for some reason that doesn't sound right, but please bear with me, I'm still a beginner).

Back on topic (for now anyway).

Hmmm... Where were we?

Re: Peugeot in US?

.... heu, "Le gâteau d'ail est goûtu".... why not, but a cake with garlic, it's a little bit strange, isn't it ? But for sure, it'll be tasty !

Where were we ? .... on the 607 and the return of Peugeot in the US. As Alfa has announced his come back, why not Peugeot ?

I'm gonna try baking such a cake one day
I didn't mean to start talking about cakes , but while we're at it... Hmm... I'm sure this cake will be delicious with some fine Californian wine (I would go for French wine, but recent tests show that wine "testers" like Californian wine more than the French wine, they say it's finer...).

Ouh là là, malheureux ! pas de blaphême je vous prie !!!!
There are discussions about foreign wines, which are in 90% of the cases, made on french vine, and in some cases are good wines indeed. And noone can say : "this wine is the best in the world" and agree with all the specialists. And in general, and it's not chauvinism, French vineyards remain the best in the world, and the most varied.
..... And with 4 or 5 bottles of wine a week, I like wine, and never found a foreign wine better (in my taste maybe also influenced by the fact that I'm a... Frog ) that a local one.

Well... Frog or not, you sure do drink a lot of wine. A different one for each meal, am I correct?

Speaking of Automobile companys coming back to the US, I remember reading something about Fiat coming back aswell in the future...
