1993 Old Supreme Alternator
I need to have the alternator in my car replaced. I'd like to do it myself but have been told that it's extremely difficult as you have to hoist up the engine. Is this true? How do you replace the alternator in a 93 Supreme?
Thanks! |

Re: 1993 Old Supreme Alternator
ok, you do almost need to hoist the whole engine, but i found that if you remove the bracket thats holding the alternator you can do it, its right on the side of the engine, a big metal bracket, with i believe two bolts on it, once you pull that out the alternator will follow, theres one bolt on the back side which is impossible to get to, but all other bolts take off before you go for that bracket
and DISCONNECT the battery, ive seen instances where someone just touched the thing in the wrong spot, and burned them badly.
