Re: NEW fujimi pics on 1999

The F430 looks to be very good, but I’ll steer well clear of the STI. Anyone buying that kit, I well advise to find new wheels, lower it and be VERY careful of the front bumper attachment, and watch out for attaching the body to the chassis.

That kit is flawed, I know, I recently built one, and I will not be buying anymore STI kits from Fujimi for a while. Not to say it couldn’t be built up to be a nice model though, just be wery..

Yeah, uh, we know

The built ones that Fujimi has shown off look just fine, except for the smallish rims. Real STI's look like they need to be lowered about 3" in front.

I'm patiently awaiting my F430 Challenge from HLJ. The pics I've seen of it look very nice.

Looks like the following changes vs. stock:
  • New body w/separate Challenge grille, hood pins, tow hooks, dual racing fuel fillers
  • New glass (side and engine cover)
  • New centerlock 19" wheels
  • New door panels, fire extinguisher, seats, rollcage, steering wheel inside

Suddenly I feel my "optional parts version" having little chance of being built with this one coming I'm getting wise to Fujimi; wait awhile to see what comes out later. Like the LHD STI. As much as I want one, I'm not getting the new MX-5 until they do a LHD version. Or perhaps an MX-5 Cup racer. They whore out their new tools so much in the first year you know they'll do more than just two.

I said...

I don't want to build anymore Ferraris!!

Ferrari is in cahoots with Fujimi just to make me build things I don't wanna!

I'd actually decided to wait, too, in case a LHD came out. If not, I can just swap another dash (le sigh). But what I'm really waiting for is to see if they do that car in the Renown livery like on the 787B. That would be hot!

You read my mind on that variation I'd build that Renown version in a heartbeat. Please Fujimi, do it!
