I have an mtx tranny downstairs that im soon going to swap into my car so i figured i solve the differential problem while it was out of the car.. so I took off the bell housing to get to the differential so that I could weld th pin and put fins on the differentil to keep the pins in incase it ever decided to come out. So im all set to go put everything back together.... and then came that part of putting the bell housing back on the tranny.... that was the most difficult thing to line all the shafts inside up to get them to slide into there idividual holes while also getting the differential gear to mesh with the output shaft and also getting it all into that roller bearing all at the same time and getting my finger stuck in between the tranny and bellhousing while trying to poke and prod around trying to move stuff into position so I now have a nice black and blue pointer finger.

You may have a had a hard time putting it back together but, you will be glad you got the diff pin welded in there

It may have been a pain...but the extra effort you put out will save you a whole lot later on. Hope the finger feel better
