Polishing SMS PE Parts
I was wondering what the best way to polish the PE parts is, because the ones I have now are brassy colored, and I know they are supposed to be silver. Any suggestions?

Re: Polishing SMS PE Parts
Well if they are etched out of brass, no matter how much polishing you do they wont turn silver. You will need to paint them.

Re: Polishing SMS PE Parts
If it's nickel silver, then get some silver polish.
BTW, most nickel silver parts are plated brass.

Re: Polishing SMS PE Parts
Which set is it? The Carrera GT set? SMS seems to use differnet matierials on some PE sets. The CGT is kind of goldenish silver. If the finish isn't silvery, I doubt polishing it will make is more so. Might have to paint it.

Re: Polishing SMS PE Parts
I got 2 p/e Lion Roar sets for my two Ferrari 612s (one is Rubino Red, the other Blue Mirabeau). One set is made from brass, the other is made from something else, but its all in silver. I dont know why Lion Roar would create some sets in brass...making the brake disks unrealistic because they have to be painted.
