more hp from automatic

i have a 97 accrd 4 cyl vtec. i have a cai and im fixing to put on an underdrive pulley. im wanting to know what the next mods is that i need to get with out spending to much money. also just courious would it be possible to add a turbo and not have it push to much psi to where i didnt have to rebuild the transmission??? any help is great thnx

I think you can push up to 8 psi of boost without changing the internals. Not sure how much power you'll get out of that low of psi though. Might just be better to strengthen the money and then boost it harder.

2 rules to remember

1) if it's cheap, it probably wont do much
2) if it'll give you alot of power, it probably isn't cheap

You can throw thousands of dollars into alot of little bolt on mods, and when you are through, you may gain 20hp. Or you can save up a few grand and turbo the car or do an engine swap and have it running significantly faster.
