Replacing 96 Camry engine

I have a 96 camry with 120000 miles that I just spent about $2500 on the engine (new timing belt, water pump, etc...). Shortly later the car was totaled in an accident(no injuries). I'm thinking about looking for another Camry 93-96 with high milage that I can get relatively cheap and replace the engine. My question is - does this sound feasible, and will a V6 engine fit in a Camry that had a V4 engine (The V4 Camry's are less expensive).
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-Kevin

Re: Replacing 96 Camry engine

You could do it, but you will live to rue the day as they say The cost for all these parts and fixing the multiple problems would not be worth it to me, i think it is far better to just get a V6 car.
