89 camry charge, p brake, rear light on

i got an 89 camry v6, manual. i have no idea why the charge light and the parking brake light and the light bulb out light on the dash light up, some times on sometimes off.

its buggin me cause i dont know if the alt is bad, but if it is, why would the other lights other then the charge light come on?

basically has any one had this problem or heard of it. i love this car.

Search the forums, I'm pretty sure I've heard of this before and that it means a bad alternator, but I'm almost positive there are already threads about this problem.

The alternator is failing. I had the exact same thing happen on an 86 Camry. I replaced the alternator and no more lights. Replacing the alternator is an easy DIY repair.

Most likely the alternator is going bad. Pretty soon the lights will stay on constantly. This happened to my former 89 Camry 3 years ago. I replaced the alternator myself at a parts cost of $120.

When that happen to me my alternator light came on and my radio kept turning itself off. Then my engine kept dieing on me. really scared me out bad that day. Turned out fine in the end as it was an alternator went out. All it took was money and a couple hours to fix.
