A/C Clutch Making noise
My 2000 seems to be making some noise from the A/C clutch. Sort of a rattling noise. When I turn on the A/C the noise seems to go away. Otherwise it seems to function normally.
Can I blow some air on the clutch area and spray on some lube ( like wd 40)? Any other suggestions? Thanks, Mark |

Re: A/C Clutch Making noise
Mine dose the same thing (98TransSport).
It has to do with the clutch mechanism, there is a little play as components wear over the years and thus the rattling when it's not engaged. I don't think there is much that can be done about it other than re-building it or replacing it (the compressor). Wayne. Last edited by woscarr; 06-03-2006 at 05:23 PM. |
