I kind of don't agree with a few things on that site.

1 - Excessive idle. You get better gas mileage if you let your car warm up for a few minutes rather than taking right off and everything gets time to lubricate. Also, if you are going to let the car sit for less than 15 minutes, leave it running. It's bad to start the car and you waste gas starting.

2 - Cruise control. Going up a hill with cruise control is bad, it will go right to the floor. Best thing to do is turn off the cruise control and try to keep constant throttle position.

3 - Buying a fuel efficient vehicle might cost more. You drive a 5 year old expedition that's all paid off, it is going to last you atleast 7 more years if you treat it right. That's 7 years without car payments. You buy a hybrid car (this is for examples, I don't think these things are worth anything) and you are paying for the next few years more on the car than you would be paying for the gas in the expedition, and you wouldn't be saving any money for gas becuase of the payment on the new vehicle.
