Smile 2001 Sil - Passenger airbag sign

Hi, in my sil-01 frequently in the dashboard the sign for passenger airbag turns on, and it turns off. I don't what it's happening but the dealer wants me to charge like 200 just for a simple diagnostics. Does anybody have the same problems ?

Thanks for your help !

Try another dealer. The scan of this system, basic diagnostics, is usually .5 hour at the most then of course at times some disassemby to source the root problem is required, find out what the 100 gets you, a code is 10 minutes to retrieve, then the real work starts.

Cool Re: 2001 Sil - Passenger airbag sign

Ok, thanks, here I have one dealer, maybe I go to a different place or maybe I look for a good mechanic. But the weird thing is when the van is park downhill, the sign is gone, and i though there was a shortcut.

Thanks for your help

Has anything has been "rolling around" on the floor of the van? There are a couple of connectors (yellow) under the front seats. I would check those connectors under the seats and also any yellow connectors under the dash. I would probably even disconnect them, inspect them & then reconnect.

Just a thought.

Take Care,

Re: 2001 Sil - Passenger airbag sign

I did two days ago, and one of the driver's seat was loose and I put it back and the sign is gone.

I hope it never comes back.

Thanks for your help.
