86 Sub PW motor removal

I have an 86 Suburban. The drivers side window doesn't work. I have power to the plug so the motor may need replacement.
I need to know the best way to remove the motor.
The book says to remove the 2 nuts and 2 bolts, but that leaves me with everything regulator and all. and this isn't going to fit through the hole.
There are 2 bolts down by the motor assy, but in the book is says to drill a hole some where to prevent the spring from uncoiling or something. Not sure how to proceed, any help would be appreciated.

I tried the motor rebuild and it worked great. Everything in the file was dead on and the results are I now have a window that works. I also went ahead and rebuilt the passenger side and it also works great.

Thanks for the information.
