Blower Motor - Plymouth Breeze
I have a 1999 Plymouth Breeze. About a month ago, settings 1-3 on the heat/cool fan stopped working. Only setting 4 worked. I was told that it was most likely the blower motor resistor. I replaced the resistor and regained use of the first 3 settings.
Now, about a month later, setting 1-3 are gone again. So, I'm assuming the blower motor needs replacing (and another resistor)??? Where would I find detailed instructions (including pictures) on how to do this myself? |

Re: Blower Motor - Plymouth Breeze
It is The blower relay switch. typical problem With mopar. It is located behind the glove box you dont even have to remove any thing to get to it. its a tight area but it can be done . the part will cost you about 30 bucks.
Hope this helps |

Re: Blower Motor - Plymouth Breeze
It's behind the glove box (see previous note above). Here are 2 links that were helpful to me: http://autorepair.about.com/library/faqs/bl705e.htm and http://autorepair.about.com/library/a/1g/bl702g.htm.

Re: Blower Motor - Plymouth Breeze
Mine keeps popping. The resistor block for my '99 Stratus is $40Cnd from the dealership. I'm going to replace the motor this time. Can anyone provide a little insight into the blower motor location & possibly the steps required to replace it?
I picked up replacement thermal fuses for $2.50 each, sure beats the $40 resistor block. But i still want to replace the motor. All I need is a rough location to start look for it. Thanks again for previous help. Last edited by stanmannus; 05-24-2006 at 01:37 PM. |
