Unhappy Timimg belt Problems

I just changed the timing belt, water pump and 3 other belts on 95 rodeo 3.2L.

Now its blowing black spoke and not getting enough power. HELP!! Anybody know??

Did you actually do the repair? If so, were all the timing marks aligned before the belt was removed? There are marks on the timing belt in addition to marks on the crankshaft sprocket, camshaft sprocket, oil pump, and rear timing belt cover.

Whoever did the job didn't get the timing right.

Yep, agree with Surferfletch. Also, I hope who-ever did that, also did the timing belt tensioner or you can expect it to fail within the next few months. They're typically the weakest link in the hole set-up.

I did the t-belt myself. When we started it after the replacement we did not let the computer re-programm right. I had to unplug the battery for 10 min. the let it idle for 5 min. without touching the accelerator. After i did that it runns better then before!

Cool! Was it preventive maintenance or had the belt slipped/broke beforehand?
