what do you guys think?

hey, well im looking at a vr4 and these are the details on it.it has about 150,000 miles on the body, trans, and turbos.but it has a new/rebuilt engine that has about 90,000 miles on it.the price the guy wants is 8k.do you think that is reasonable?do you think the turbos and trans should be okay with that amount of miles on them without a rebuild?he says that everything works great.he just thinks it needs some new spark plugs and wires down the road.thanks.

Re: what do you guys think?

What year is it? For a first gen i think 8k would be a little high.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: what do you guys think?

Yeah, a little more info would be nice. I think after 150k the turbos might start getting a little tired. I would request to see the paper work for whoever redid the engine and you may even want to contact the person that rebuilt it and ask some general questions to them to find out what they all did.

Re: what do you guys think?

Polygon (one of the moderators) is giving a free carfax report to those who have a resonable request. Here is the link to the thread: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=567098

Just tell him your situation and then hit him with a PM or just type your vin in the thread and give him an e-mail address to send it to you.

Re: what do you guys think?

Stealthee you tricky b@$t@rd! I saw you use that free carfax. Now there is going to be about 15 people with 3kgt's that never visit the racing forum asking for Carfax reports and when asked who sent you everyone will say "SL3000gt" and I will be shunned from AF society and known only as an outcast! lol
