1994 88 Misfire
My 1994 olds 88 66,ooo miles started misfiring after sitting in a airport parking lot for two weeks. It took about 20 miles of driving and the missing stopped. I replaced the plugs and wires next day. Everything was fine till i went on a trip in the rain and it missfired again for another 20 miles or so. ANY IDEAS!!!!

Re: 1994 88 Misfire
Is your check engine light coming on when the car backfires.
Are there any codes stored, you can go to your local Autozone or Kragens and get your codes checked for free. |

Re: 1994 88 Misfire
Did you properly gap your spark plugs when you changed them?
How are the spark plug wires? Or it may even be clogged/bad fuel injectors. |

Re: 1994 88 Misfire
I'm not saying those parts are neccesarily bad but Gm engines seem to run and tune up better and smoother with AC Delco replacement parts and that is from years of personal experience, you could also have bad gas but from what you say it sounds electrical.Post back if you get it fixed.
