Re: Turbo EX D16Y8 Questions
A really good engine management system. Possibly sleeves as well, but that depends on your hp goals.

Re: Turbo EX D16Y8 Questions
dependinig how much your pushing. for best fit. port/polish, new racing valve spring, retainer, camshaft, cam gear, light flywheel, 2.5 piping.

Re: Turbo EX D16Y8 Questions
300HP? All you would need is some Wiseco pistons, Eagle Rods... rebuilt head (or build it if you want, not completely necessary but very good) and a turbo around the size of a T3/TD04E. Possible on around 18psi-20psi on a good tune with an engine management of your choice.

Re: Turbo EX D16Y8 Questions
it might just be but i would bet your gonna blow our engine if your seriously trying to get 300hp out of an ex engine.

Re: Turbo EX D16Y8 Questions
I know of a few people that have hit 400+whp on a SOHC D16 motor. It's quite possible. And actually, there is a guy that hit 273whp on a stock internal'd D16Z6. A really, really good tune is a must so I would just skip the SAFC/VAFC and go right to a chipped ECU with either Uberdata/Crome or a Hondata setup for fuel management.
