Hi My Mother In Law Just Got A Car And She Is Asking Me All Kinds Of Questions About It I Have Not Worked On Her Kind Of Car, So Here Is The Problem. The Car Is A 1991 Chevy Caliver And It Has A Gas Leak And, It Is Also A Stick And She Would Link To Know Where She Would Put The Gearoil? My Question Is Also How Hard Would It Be To Change Or Fix A Gas Tank? Any Help Would Be Great Thanks.

Re: Help With Mother In Laws Car
Someone who owns/has owned a 2nd gen standard tranny can give a better guarantee, but there should be a tube to pour tranny fluid in somewhere in the engine bay. I believe it uses some grade of motor oil, check your manual and it should tell you.
As for a gas leak, you should check all your lines first, as that's where the leak is most likely to occur. If you need to swap a gas tank, you have to disconnect the lines and then unbolt the tank from under the car. Not terribly complicated, just rather time consuming. As for sourcing the gas tank, I'd say you should hit up a junkyard.
