Factory Alarm Arm

Does anybody know where the Factory Alarm arm wires is on a 03 eclipse gt, its say on the ECU but which one is it <it say the one behind the fuse box and i checked all of them but when i hooked up my Keyless entry with remote starter, everything works but the alarm and the trunk buttom, i didnt have a keypad to my car when i 1st got it, so i dont know it the hatch even opens by remote< does it> it just feels like a cable is connected and that opens the trunk so can it be opened by remote is there a wire for it< i have this same Alram Porblem on my Grand Prix, i have the same kit for both and i cant get the alarms to work ( panic works ) but not the alarms

Re: Factory Alarm Arm

Sorry, not gonna be too much help with the alarm issue, but as for the trunk...there is no electronic release...just the trunk latch next to your left foot.

Re: Factory Alarm Arm

yeah thats what i thought, It says theres a wire but the tried and when i pull it up it just feel like a cable< no electronics> my Grand Prix has the electronics> it has a button can the trunk pop when you release it. But thanx for letting me know< do you know the top speed on a 03 Gt i only got mines to 120 but i got heavy rims on there< it shakes tryin to slow down at the high of a speed> I going to changes the brakes and put new rotors on there.

Re: Factory Alarm Arm

you don't need to be going that fast....

stock on the way home from the dealership i got to 130 before the wind started to catch too much. I think anything over 100 on a public road is STUPID and you should not do it.

the transmission is geared so you can get to 145+ i believe though, i just dont' think you have the power to get there.

the vibration may be your tires, control arms, alignment or brakes... take your pick.

I am with you there....It always fun to go fast when you have an open highway. My luck is that I would be going 120 or so and I am on an open HWY and the only other car out there would be a state trooper....lol But yes, I have been 125 in mine and I felt it would go faster, but I got scared...lol Guess I am a big puss about speed. By the way I am 36 and still like to drive fast....just like you though, I don't speed in town or around other cars.

Re: Factory Alarm Arm

I got my fed spec 2000 GT 5 speed up to 140...and then stopped looking down to check. I think my friend said like 144 or so. After about 125 it started to take a while to get movin....i guess thats what boost is for. Oh how I wish i had the money to boost. Some day
