Unhappy blown engine

i have a 96 monte z-34 that just blew the timing belt and that destoryed bunch of other stuff so i have to drop a new engine anyone have any ideas on were to find a good engine for a decent price

Try a few good salvage yards that take them out of wrecks, those are your best bet for used low mileage engines. Also price out rebuilt and new ones. Advance Auto Parts, Pep Boys, etc carry a line of rebuilts, new ones are available from Chevy I'm sure.

Those engines are a ticking time bomb, and finding a decent used one is next to impossible. Many engine remanufacturers have stopped offering it because of it's known issues.

check e-bay, sometimes there are some good deals to be had. the good old interference engine engine, when the belt goes, so do your valves in the head(bent)
