Peugeot 307 WRC 2005 with Crazy Modeler Extras

Made a start on this over the last few days.

Body was sanded, washed and primed with Tamiya Grey Primer, then White primer.

Bottom section was airbrushed with MCW Pure White

Top was airbrushed with Holts Red (no code on the bottle had it for a few years, but it's 99% the same colour as TS49)

Masked off the strip area at the bottom with Tamiya Tape and applied more red.

Additional Crazy Modeler (DC0100) Marlboro Decals added which I like alot, (Yes I know I sell them but they are nice quite thick which means you can work them well without tearing.)

Clear coated yesterday, but no photo of that yet ("Do Not Touch the Model" sign still hanging)

I'm also using the Crazy Modeler Photoecthed set for this, the brakes are awesome.

Good grief - it makes me want to give up the hobby (almost)

Looks incredibly clean - read that as real

Re: Peugeot 307 WRC 2005 with Crazy Modeler Extras

Wow-
The paint and decal work are stunning. Nice job persuading the Marlboro markings to contour to the door handle wells! Just Tamiya tape for the masking- no special tricks? I have a 206 to do in this scheme, and I'm a bit daunted to try the masking.

Someday maybe I'll develop your skills with a camera....

The brakes look spectacular- but do WRC cars use alloy or carbon discs? (I really don't know, but I've wondered of PE overlays aren't too bright.)

For all the complaints we've heard about this kit, yours will certainly look terrific built up!

Hi,

Your work is awesome, keep up the good work.
Those PE are amazing.
Just a question what kind of clear do you use?

Thanks

Looks great. Halfords clear direct from the can??? Did you mist coat then wet?? Looks as good as 2 part clear! Nice job.

Just got back from Staples getting some postal supplies and found this Silver Card
Window Rubbers painted now

Yes a few mist coats the a few wet ones leave for 24/36 hours sorted, polish out for 3 hours.

Model looking superb. The Marboro logos give it that little bit extra visual impact. Can I ask you where do you buy the Tamiya primers? The only place I have seen it is Hobbylink Japan, but I didn't think they would ship it to the UK being an aerosol paint.Looking forward to more updates. The brakes look brilliant by the way.
