04 LS Keyless Entry Factory Code?

I just bought an 04 LS which has keyless entry.

Where do I find the factory code for the keyless entry? No card in owners manual.

Supposedly on the ECM? Where's that if so?

Re: 04 LS Keyless Entry Factory Code?

Hello- I've had two cars -'89 Taurus and '93 Sable with keyless entry. The Sable has a remote key fob, and the Taurus did not, but each had the keypad on the driver's door. On the underside of the trunklid of each was a sticker with the five digit code. I hope this helps...Ray

Nope, for the 2000's and newer, the keycode is on the control module. Its under the dash above the brake pedal. Recline your driver seat and crawl in on your back upside down and look up under there. Its on a white sticker on the module box and it faces the firewall, so contort your neck! Its there though, trust me. Write it down in your owners manual when you get it caues its a bear to find.

Re: 04 LS Keyless Entry Factory Code?

I've got an 01 Taurus SEL and I can't seem to find the control box with the sticker on it at all... and I've literally climibed halfway into the space above the brake.

If someone could shoot a quick digital photo of the sticker and email it to me at [email protected], I'd really appreciate it!

Recline drivers seat, go head first under the dash. Box with number on it is just lef tof the brake pedal, black, about 2 - 3 inches wide, about 6 - 7 inches long.

The number is on the lower left side (looking towards front of car) of the control box.

5 digit number.

Hope that helps, no way I can get a picture as camera won't focus that close.
