You sure that the Viper T56 and LS1 T56's will interchange? You may need to pick up at least a bellhousing for the ls1

the 5.3 is essentially an iron block ls1 with a different crank. Thats it. You want lower compression? thicker gaskets and machined combustion chambers will do that.
