1997 mercury cylinder misfire after engine wash

I cleaned my engine today with a regular hose and engine cleaner. I covered the alternator, removed the battery and covered all of the fuse and power distribution boxes. When all was said and done, the car started fine but the check engine light came on, and gave the code for Cylinder 4 misfire. The car idles rough now and doesnt have hardly any acceleration. What do you think i should do? The engine was cooled down when it got wet also, for at least 40 mins, there was a little steam but thats all

Water might have went down into the tube where the spark plug is.

Pull off the spark plug boot (With a remove tool ,a couple of bucks from Auto Zone) look down the tube with a flashlight ,if any moisture is in the tube get a paper towel and force it down the tube with a screwdriver and let it absorb the moisture then let it air dry or use a hair dryer. I had to do this when I changed out the plugs I found a little oil in the tube on drivers side rear.
