84 Camaro Intake manifold
I over tourqed the intake manifold bolts to 40lbs instead of 25lbs, did I wreck the gasket? I backed off the bolts to 25lbs did that make matters worse?
84 2.8l engine

the gasket shouldn't be damaged, you'd have a hell of a job doing damage by "squishing" it. you should be more worried about the threads on the bolts, and bolt holes though.
