98 civic lx transmission dipstick loose?

i checked the automatic transmission fluid dipstick and it pulled out and pushes in very loose. its like nothing is gripping the dipstick when it is in. it seems like on a hard bump or something it might fall out. on my old civic its not like this.

The rubber grommet could be missing or dipstick filler tube stretched. I really don't think it would fall out by hitting a bump, but then again you don't want that stick moving up and down while the car is in gear.

Mine's the same way. I think it's normal to be like this, the dipstick is in a kinda hard to reach place, so they made it easier to pull out.
