hot kitty
some of you might recall me asking about the quality of shine/gloss/colour of tamiya's TS 14 black and this is the reason why.
it's been very off and on for since christmas but the weather has let me down until now and it's finally gotten some paint on it and getting to an acceptable level of polished shine (although the colour still seems off to me). some parts of the bodywork is a bit rough cos i've chopped and changed it many times trying out how to fit the interior back into the painted body. this is also more or less a test build for an E-type kit i've got that i really don't want to get wrong. more when i get more building time. |

Re: hot kitty
I don't know about the color being off, but that shine is blinding me. BTW, where did you get the E-Type roadster and is it 1/24?

Re: hot kitty
it's the revell xk-ss kit that you can get pretty easily in the uk and for cheap too and occasionally comes up on ebay (don't pay more than £8 for it).
apart from the bodywork and even then it's only really the nose that is different, it is more or less mechanically (the real one at least, if you ignore the independent rear for the XK-E) the same as the e-type that did cost me more than £8 (i'll give you three guesses what kit it is...) so i'm treating this as a test run for both the XK-E as well another one of these that I want to do properly with as much detailing as i can get. |

![]() That XK-SS looks great so far, and superb colour choice for showing off the curves of the body! Quote:

Re: hot kitty
thanks for the (small) show of support.
due to my previous work schedule (there being no schedule), i've never had the time to work on these things regularly or consistantly but now that my work week is more scheduled, i am free to actually put time aside for modelling. this is kinda a first attempt at following an organised build plan. hope i don't disappoint. |
