97 sebring Lxi radio reset

i have an infinity system in the car,, the factrory radio does not want to acknowlege that Im putting a cd in the cd slot... It will eject but wont recongnize when you try to install a cd in the slot...
Is there any way to reset this thing,,,Im really close to putting a pioneer in its place...

As far as I know there is no reset. I would just junk it and replace it with a descent head unit.
