'95 xmission shudder

around 33mph the tranny shudders until you speed up or slow down. anyone have this? only 26k original miles. also this tranny has always shifted slow as heck all its life. think only thing to solve that is a shift kit.

4.6L, 4R70W. I'm having trouble de-coding VIN. I get "it has special characters or IOQ " when I try to pull it up on internet. I can't believe theres nothing on VIN on this website when doing a "search". This is the VIN: 2melm74wosx648868.

Re: '95 xmission shudder

Hi, Checked out the TSB's...For the most part they deal with a fluid change for the trans mission, useing mercon fluid, fluid break down being the culprit, There is one TSB for a recalibration of the ECM, That's a dealer thing, Should cost about $90. Just a little advice from a retired ford trans tech, The AVERAGE trans fluid life is 20 to 30K at best.....See Ya, Clay...

Re: '95 xmission shudder

C. Cleve- thanx, CSBs were correct. Tranny 100% better. I've never had a vehicle that responded to a fluid change this much. Oh well.
