Dash on 98 Century

While I was working on the fan on my 98 Century, I popped the dash cover on the passenger side. I am aware of the Air Bag. It seems the plastic hold down broke. How can I get the dash cover to reseat? Thanks

Re: Dash on 98 Century

Thats interesting. Are you referring to the bottom kick panel that has to be removed to work the HVAC blower or the dash cover for the passenger airbag?

To properly secure the flap I'm quite sure you will need to remove the dashboard bezel or what is defined as Instrument Panel Carrier. After that you should be able to get to the retainers and secure the cover.

BTW - When working on airbag related areas, it is recommended to remove the airbag fuse and let approximately 10 minutes transpire/rundown. The SDM module and airbag stuff will stay active for up to 10 minutes even with the ignition off. Good luck!
