a/c question
My a/c is on the fritz again this year and ive already narrowed it down i just have a simple question. i have a 1992 oldsmobile 88 and everytime i put a new relay in for the a/c it works for about 2 minutes and blows the relay. Could a bad ground cause that? or what would?
thanks jay |

Re: a/c question
Just a guess, the reason why the relay blows is probably because the blower motor is drawing too much current and is buring out the relay. Do you have a manual or electronic climate control in you car?

Re: a/c question
You really shouldn't just exchange relays because they look the same the load ratings may be way differant ect. same coil but contact ratings can be 10 amp/15 amp,25 amp and still look identical,go by part # only.
