Service Engine Soon? - '03 530i

I am realizing a recurring Service Engine Soon illumination on a 2003 530i. It has been reset numerous times, but the dealer has yet to offer a cure for this aggravation. Any advises would be appreciated. Oh, now the Check Engine Oil Level message is appearing. That should be easy to address, but not sure where the oil is going after only 65K miles...

Re: Service Engine Soon? - '03 530i

i have 02 530i with 40k and the low oil level message shows when i race the car BMW engines were made to eat the oil since day 1, so don't worry about that, and check engine light just go to any mechanic that has snap-on scanner and ask him to check it out for you it just may need tune up!

Re: Service Engine Soon? - '03 530i

Thanx X! The dealer finally diagnosed the Service Engine light to be a torque converter that was emiting an error message. It has been replaced and the oil changed and we are traveling to Nashville this moment, testing the fix. Seems to be all green for the first hundred miles. Smooth as desired. Thanks for your note back.
