Re: gages down

Sorry, been out of town.
Well, that's an odd one. Sounds like it's temperature related from your pm message to me. Could be the BCM (Body Control Module) or a bad ground somewhere.
Here is something you can try...sometimes the electronics get "buggy" and need to be reset.
Remove the negative battery cable, then turn the ignition to "START" and hold for 5 seconds.
(This will bleed off residual voltage to the electronics.)
Wait a few minutes and start it up. Check the gauges and see what happens.

Good luck.

Re: gages down

My '99 JGC did almost the same thing, the gages would drop to zero when the engine died . . . usually on the freeway in the most inconvient of situations demanding death defying manuvers to get the thing stopped with engine off . . . thank GOD for my pilot training years ago! Darn instructor kept shutting the engine off and said . . . where ya going to land now

My JGC would die when it got hot. I cleand all grounds, changed Crank Position Sensor, Cam Position Sensor, MAP, TPS etc. etc. eventually replaced the PCM Power Control Module and it hasn't happened again . . . yet . . . it spring time againg and the wife's afraid of driving it . . . again. $500 from the stealer and $100 used from the internet plus a programming fee.
