02 3.8 just changed engines NO START?

Just put a 02 3.8 in a town and country 23,000 miles on this motor.Everthings the same have spark,Have fuel all connections same checked and double checked.To me seems the injectors are not putting fuel to the motor.can spray ether to intake and it will run.Took the cam sensor out of the old motor because it worked before also the map sensor just because it was there.Pulled the motor out of the top (tight fit of course) the crank sensor showed crank of about 225 on the scanner.I keep thinking that Maybe the crank sensor could have gotten chipped,broken,while pulling this thing out.What do you techs think about this one???Thanks born

A thought - did you install the PCM the 02 3.8 was using in the previous installation? If you're using a different PCM, is it compatable with the 02 3.8? Not sure that would be an issue but, not sure it wouldn't be either.

With your ear to the fill pipe can you hear the fuel pump running? Could the ASD relay be cutting off power to the injectors for some reason?

Like RIP indicated you have a fuel issue. I too suspect a problem with the fuel pump. If you check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail it will tell you if the fuel pump is working. If you have low or no pressure then the problem is either with the fuel pump or with the fuel pressure regulator. If the fuel pressure is good then the problem is with the ECM and it is not sending a signal to the injectors to spray fuel into the engine. You may want to try a noid light to check to see if the injectors are firing.

If you have spark the CPS if fine.

Fuel pressure is correct up to the rails.The injectors are not pulsating.The crank sensor was not damaged when removing junk motor.Put old cam sensor from old motor in (because that engine at least kind of ran made it in the shop (lot of racket)but it got to the hoist.Checked all connections Again.This van has an aftermarket remote start turned the switch to off and made sure the hood was closed.But still no run.Has spark once again and fuel pressure up to the rail But thats where im at on this one.Noid light on monday on the injectors.The only ground wires i had to hook back up on this was 2 up front block to tranny .Any other ideas are very much welcome .Thanks born

This one is FIXED!!!!Well after all the brain stress i got this one figured out!!Talked to a tech and it all ended up being the fuel injectors were all gummed up from the salvage yard motor.After they sit around for who knows how long the injectors get all gummy and wont let the fuel through them of course.So anytime any of you replace an engine probley would be a good idea right off the bat switch out the injectors.Nice to hear this damn thing start right up.80% diagnoisis 20 % fix Thanks guys for helping!!!!born ps help me with my 94 concorde limp in mode stuff!
