Re: 1997 Bonneville will not start
Try jumping the starter at the solenoid.

Re: 1997 Bonneville will not start
Recommend you jump battery even is you think it is OK, also comfirm battery and starter connection.... If you have a Volt meter 12.6 or above at the battery should eliminate the battery, then connections, and finally jumping the solenoid of the starter to see if the starter rotates.... Finally replace the starter.

Re: 1997 Bonneville will not start
How did you determine that the battery is good? Have you attempted to jump start the car? If it's the newer style gear reduction type starter, don't try the old mechanic's trick of whacking the starter with a hammer. All that will do is break the starter's ceramic magnets and ruin it. Make sure all your battery connections are clean and tight. If all connections look good, it's entirely possible that even though the battery has good voltage, it cannot deliver the amperage to turn the starter. Max's suggestion of jumping the starter at the solenoid will verify it.

Re: 1997 Bonneville will not start
Also double check the + battery cable for corrosion (very common problem)
