monte carlo questions
Ok well in hopefully about a year im going to be getting my license, and im thinking about saving up for a monte carlo, 2000-2004. With the 3.8, but i hear the complaints about piston slap, is there any way to fix it? Because most likely when i start working, most of my pay check is gonna go into the car so i dont want to start out with a crappy canvas. Btw my dad is mechainic so him and i can basicallt fix anything, thanks.

Re: monte carlo questions
The piston slap only affects montes with the 3.4 engine, not the 3800. The only thing you need to worry about in a 3800 is the upper intake gaskets. If you buy one and start mysteriously losing cooant, that's where to look.

Re: monte carlo questions
About $40, and it takes about 1-1/2-2 hours to change.
