Parasetic draw while car is off?

I have a 94 civic dx, an i have some form of parsitic draw while the vehicle is off...... I have an 2000 watt amp, (not that it should make a difference, with 2 1.0 farads cap's), and a pioneer head unit, but something is pratically killing my battery overnight. it goes from ~12.6 volts when i shut it off to 9.8 volts in the morning..... (car is done for the day at like maybe 9 or 10 pm; and i leave for school at maybe 7:40 or so.... My amp does nto draw any juice while the car is off (nor does the headunit), and my infinity speakers (out of a caravan, amplifier is on speakers, wired to a switch) do not get juice while the switch is turned off. i Havent had a chance to actually dig into it, im trying to finish my hood before more kids decide to write on it........ Any dieas on were a parasitic draw would be?

Speaking of that, is there anything that gets sharpie off of the car without destroying my paint? (i deliver pizzas... and it sucks when they decide to graffiti my car....)
Thanks,
Bill

Re: Parasetic draw while car is off?

How much current pull does it have when off? Have you had the battery checked? Do you have an alarm aswell? First things first.. Have the battery checked first. They should be able to tell you if the current draw is to high too.

Umm, I dont know, but the batterys not even 6 months old, thats what made me kind of worry. And no, no alarm on this car. But I'll hit up autozone tommorow and have them check it
Thanks,
Bill

Re: Parasetic draw while car is off?

Well, My alternators fine, and apperently my battery is too, it passed the load test. Autozone said they didnt think anything was drawing juice while the car was off. Is it possible that my battery does have a weak cell, its just strong enough to pass a load test?

Re: Parasetic draw while car is off?

yea it still could be.. I would still just try to disconnect the system to see if the problem goes away.. Then you would know for sure if something is wired wrong.
