Re: Just a few questions.....

The 2000 model has its share of problems, because its the first year of the new style and the bugs had not been worked out yet.

1. Your lift bolts will probably need replaced because they tend to get stripped out and cause a lack of power and irradic acceleration. My 2000 also has this problem but I'm dealing with it for now. The bolts are relativly cheap though. Shouldn't be a problem for someone with so mechanical skills.

2. The accessory drive belt tensioner will make an extremely annoying squeal unless it has been replaced with the superceded part #. As far as I know almost every 2000 has this problem. The part is kinda pricey though. I found it for $117.00 from a place online.
You can check the part # on yours to see if its been replaced.
Old P\N 16620-22030 or 16620-22030
New P\N 16620-22032.(I could be wrong on the part # but I 'm pretty sure thats it).

Those are the main problems they have. For a 6 yr old car it might have a few more though, depending on how well it was taken care of.

Hope this helps.
