Thumbs up Oil pressure

I hade a 350 c.i. on my truck and I switch to a 454 c.i. but the engine i put in it is from a 1989 suburban and now i dont know where to conect the oil pressure switch to since the engine is T.B.I. this engine hade a oil sending unit and i'm converting it to carb style.could i put an oil pressure switch where the oil sending unit was at.

You guys can both shit and fall back in it. If you don't want to help this guy, don't post anything. I hate smart asses.

I believe the bbc has the sending units in the same places that the sbcs have them. One behind the distributor and one above the oil filter. If you have a gauge you need to have a sending unit, if it is an electrical gauge. The easiest place to install this is above the oil filter. If you have just a light you need a switch, which you can install in the top of the block behind the distributor. Also if you are using a mechanical gauge you can put the tap in the top of the block.

I hope I have been of some sort of help, unlike the other two bozos on the board.

I put an after market intake and it dose not have no ware to put that in
I will put it on top of the oil filter i was going to put where it hade the sending unit but it's under headers and i dont want to burn any wire

and thaks for youre help

The intake should not cover the port on the back of the block, if there is one. It should be right behind the distributor. I may be wrong though. I have a 71 454, but I'm sure it's a little different.

i will look behind the distributer it might be there thanks
and i forgot all about the m&m cookies. I think i have another
problem with engine swap i used the 350 motor mounts since they where new but in the passenger side the header is hitting the chassi
