input shaft bearing....

i recently came across a '95 tracker for $1000 but it needed the input shaft bearing replaced. how big of a job is this really? what all is involved and what are the signs/symptoms of needing to replace the bearing? any help would be great. TIA

Re: input shaft bearing....

They haven't used true ignition modules in 15-20 years. The PCM has replaced the ignition module. As far as the ignition coils they are located near the rear of the left-hand cylinder.

Re: input shaft bearing....

hmmm... now i'm thouroughly confused. lol, i was under the impression that this had to do with the transmission. the guy said i'd have to drop the tranny, split the case and replace this bearing... but that was just a general breakdown of the process involved.
