Need '97 GC Limited Front Bumper

Hi All,

A few months ago my wife punched our Jeep into a pile of plowed snow and cracked the heck out of the corner of the front bumper. Everything else is fine but the cover is beyond repair.

I need the outside bumper cover for a limited with fog lights. I saw some after market on Partstrain.com. Are they any good? Anywhere else to look.

When they say the bumper part is "raw" what exactly does that mean...unprimed and just the extruded color?

We have the Platinum color Jeep and I am not afraid to paint it although finding a good one already painted would be much easier.

Local junk yard can get me a used one for $350 bucks...for a piece of plastic.

Thanks again for any help...Mike

Re: Need '97 GC Limited Front Bumper

Thanks VAMC that does help...I will check with them and see exactly what they have as their written words all made sense and sounded correct but the bumper in the picture was for a Cherokee.

So I will call them first and make sure that it is accurate.

Thanks again...I hate looking at that cracked bumper on her truck.

Mike

Try www. partstrain.com I have had good luck with them. I have a 93 but i'm pretty sure they cover other years too.

As well as another good idea. Now you have a few choices to go with. Let us know what you decided to do.

Re: Need '97 GC Limited Front Bumper

Well,

I ordered the bumper cover from partstrain as it was about $100 less in total cost...will have to paint either one and my old fog lamps are still good...which is what the one from quadratec said it came with.

Will see...I am apprehensive but the forums haven't let me down yet. Will let you know how it fits as I will put it on first and then take back off to paint.

Thanks again for the wealth of info you all share. Mike
